| Ecoguide International is a Non Gouvernemental Organisation, member of the International Union for Nature (IUCN). Its goals : favour the conservation of biodiversity and the long-lasting development everywhere in the world. Its methods : carry out missions of study, research and assistance with teams of ecoguides and make the public aware of the environmental problems thanks to education campaigns. Because training is essential to understand the complexity of the interactions between man and the natural environment and to preserve biodiversity. | Yves Rocher is a label of plant based cosmetics, created in Britain forty years ago.
Yves Rocher has adopted production methods in accordance with its ethics : its factories respect the most severe environment regulations, they check their wastes and use recycled or recyclable materials. The plants composing the products come from cultures respecting environment. When species essential to a product are endangered in the nature, Yves Rocher protects them and its researchers try to find renewable plant resources. Also convinced that the preservation of nature depends on the education of the adults of tomorrow, Yves Rocher leads educational actions : the safeguard of the Lebanese Cedar, trees plantation by the school children with the operation " One school, one arboretum " (in partnership with the Education Nationale) and recently the creation of the " Vegetarium ", discovery-museum in La Gacilly devoted to the vegetable world and its secrets. In Africa, Lebanon and Amazonia, the firm funds nature education operations. IFF (International Flavours and Fragrances) is a North-American firm, world leader of the creation of scents and fragrances. The firm, born after the war, employs 4500 people in the world. Today, the greatest perfumers are among its customers. Yves Rochers owes its first and still famous toilet water " Chêvrefeuille " to IFF. IFF is the first creator that used the method said " headspace ", which makes it possible to capture the scents of a flower without needing to cut it. Its scientists and botanists travel around the planet to find new plants, rare and endemic species with precious scents, the commercial exploitation of which later gives an income to the local population. |
