Amazonian Wood used for the construction of the boat

"NEBLINA"

Itaúba Mezilaurus itauba - Lauraceae

Moderately heavy (0,70 g/cm3). Difficult to saw. This wood is slowly seasoning, but it allows a regular finishing. It is mainly used for the construction due to its high water-resistance. Further, it lends itself very good to carve curved pieces. On “Neblina” boat this wood is used for the hull and the walls outside.
